PackLink Tracking Numbers
What is a PackLink Tracking Number?
A Packlink tracking number is the reference used to follow a shipment purchased through Packlink or Packlink PRO. Packlink is a shipping platform, so the number can refer either to the Packlink order reference used inside the platform or to the final carrier tracking number shown after the parcel is scanned by the transport company. For the customer, this number is the practical key for checking whether the parcel is still waiting for handover, already moving through a hub, delayed at customs, assigned to a courier, or completed at delivery.
Where to Find PackLink Tracking Numbers
Customers find Packlink tracking details in the service confirmation email, on the post-sales page, inside a Packlink or Packlink PRO account, and in the carrier information section. Packlink explains that the Packlink reference can be used in its own tracking flow, while the carrier tracking number can be copied from the shipment details and used on the underlying carrier website. If a newly created number does not return results immediately, it usually means the parcel has not yet received its first live carrier scan. Customers should retry with the same exact reference instead of editing the code.
PackLink Tracking Number Formats
Packlink publicly describes two important reference formats. The Packlink shipment reference is an alphanumeric code of 19 characters, for example UN2025COM0000000000. The order reference used in the Self Service flow is a longer alphanumeric code of 41 characters that includes letters, numbers, and dashes, for example UNCOM2025-450p8212-a29c-46k7-i774-2023l5121185. The final carrier tracking number may use the selected carrier's own format. When entering the code, keep leading zeros, suffix letters, dashes, and capitalization exactly as shown on the original shipment document or order page.
PackLink Tracking Statuses
Common PackLink Tracking Statuses and Their Meanings
| Original Status | Translated Status | Description | Action Required |
|---|---|---|---|
| In transit | Packlink states that tracking normally becomes available after the parcel has been scanned by the carrier and marked in transit. | Continue monitoring the shipment. | |
| Tracking information not up to date | Packlink uses this issue category when parcel updates are delayed or unchanged. | Contact Packlink through the Tracking category if the expected delivery date has passed. | |
| Delivered | The underlying carrier has recorded final delivery and Packlink can show completion in the tracking flow. | Check with the recipient or carrier proof if needed. | |
| Pickup issue | The collection did not happen as expected or there was a drop-off problem. | Use Packlink support and select the Pickup category. | |
| Delivery issue | The recipient has not received the parcel or a delivery incident was reported. | Open a Delivery support request in Packlink. |
Status wording can vary slightly between the carrier site, merchant account, and multi-carrier tracking tools. The safest interpretation is to treat each event as a checkpoint in the route, then use the latest timestamp and location to decide whether support contact is needed.
