Chile Post Tracking Numbers

What is a Chile Post Tracking Number?

A Chile Post tracking number is the unique identifier assigned to mail items and parcels handled by Correos Chile (officially Empresa de Correos de Chile), the national postal service of Chile. Constituted as a state-owned company in 1981, Correos Chile is one of South America's largest postal operators, delivering letters, parcels, and documents to every address in Chile as well as internationally via the Universal Postal Union (UPU) network. The tracking number enables senders and recipients to follow a shipment from acceptance through domestic transit and final delivery or international handover.

Where to Find Chile Post Tracking Numbers

When a parcel or registered item is deposited at a Correos Chile branch, the sender receives a receipt that includes the tracking number. For international shipments sent to Chile, the tracking number is provided by the foreign postal service and can be entered on the Correos Chile website. If you purchased goods online from a Chilean seller, the tracking number will appear in your order tracking section or in the shipping confirmation email. For domestic registered mail, the tracking number is printed on the barcode label affixed to the item. You can track at correos.cl using the "Consulta de Envíos" or "Seguimiento" section.

Chile Post Tracking Number Formats

Chile Post uses two main tracking number formats:

  • UPU 13-character international format: Two letters + nine digits + country code CL. The first letter indicates service type — R for registered small packets, C for parcels, and E for EMS express mail. Example: CC123456789CL or EE123456785CL.
  • Domestic 26-digit barcode: Used for domestic parcels and courier services, a purely numeric code of 26 digits printed on the parcel label.
